Private apartment
An apartment in the former Customs Office building from 1907 is a dialogue between the new and the old. Original stucco, high ceilings, and noble plasters have been preserved with respect. The complement is light. SHIFT does not take center stage. It works in the background. It supports. It guides the eye. It highlights what matters—details, textures, proportions. The diversity of fixtures allows for more. Sometimes it disappears. Sometimes it leads. It always serves the space. This is a project about attentiveness. About function. About light that knows its place.
